Choir

ZPS Choir was reinstated as a CCA in 2011. Under the guidance of the choir instructor and the teachers-in-charge, the Choir attained a Merit in Choral Singing for Beginner group in the ABRSM choral examination in 2013 and the Certificate of Accomplishment in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation in 2014 and 2016.

Since its reinstatement, the Choir is privileged to have been given the opportunities to perform at numerous school, community and national events.

  • August 2014 – We were privileged to sing for the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew at the National Day Dinner hosted by Tanjong Pagar Community Centre.
  • January 2015 – We sang for the delegation during the visit to our school by the Minister of Sikkim.
  • August 2015 – We were very honoured to be one of the choirs to perform at the Sing50 Concert
  • February 2016 – The Choir participated in Voices of Singapore Festival at CHIJMES.

Moving forward, the Choir would be doing Value-In-Action performance at Alexandra Hospital and a performance at National Gallery in September 2016.

Throughout the journey in music, ZPS Choir has embraced the values of Resilience and Responsibility which are also the school values. The hours of training taught ZPS Choir the essence of Teamwork.

We look forward to more performances and scaling greater heights.
