2005-2012

2005: The grandson of Mr Loo, Mr Chan Soo Sen, Minister of State for Education, officially opened the Loo Kian Cheang Library on 2 July.
2006: Associate Koo Tsai Kee, Minister of State for Defence and MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC, offically opened the school at 51 Jalan Membina on 8 July.
2008: The school was awarded the Community in Bloom Platinum Award and the Best Community Garden Award for her efforts in creating a garden environment.
2010: The school was awarded Programme for School-Based Excellence (PSE) in Environmental Education with many of its physical spaces transformed into galleries, gardens and outdoor classrooms for learning.
2010: The school embarked on its first Overseas Learning Journey.
2010: Mdm Lee Yin Hui, the granddaughter-in-law of Mr Loo, joined the school’s SAC and is the current Chairperson (2021).
2012: Under PERI grading, new facilitiles such as Indoor Sports Hall, Indoor Basketball Court and Special Rooms were added.

Learning Gardens

Associate Professor Koo Tsai Kee, Minister of State for Defence and MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC, officially opened the school at 51 Jalan Membina on 8 July 2006.
